Methodology & disclaimer
Where the numbers come from
- Public driver posts. Posts from the last 30 days on Reddit (r/doordash_drivers, r/UberEatsDrivers, r/InstacartShoppers, r/AmazonFlexDrivers, r/Sparkdriver and others) and X where a driver states a clear number: $/hr, $/order or batch, or weekly pay. Posts without a clear number are skipped. Each report links to the original post. Location comes from the post itself; for some X posts it comes from the poster's profile, which is labeled.
- Change log. Pay, promo and policy changes from official sources (company help centers and newsrooms, government sites), news reports, and driver posts (marked unconfirmed).
- Visitor submissions. Anonymous reports sent through our form. Every submission starts as pending and is reviewed by hand before it can appear publicly. Numbers that work out below $3/hr or above $100/hr are flagged for extra checking. Spam protection uses a salted hash of the connection's IP (the raw IP is never stored) and a limit of 5 reports per day.
Published averages
We don't copy or republish other companies' pay datasets. For app-tracked averages by city, we link to the publishers: Solo Pay Insights and Gridwise.
How the board picks an app
For each place, the app with the highest median hourly figure across that place's public reports. Ranges like "$30–35" count as the midpoint. When a post says "I used to make X, now Y", we use the current figure.
Low sample
Places with fewer than 5 reports in the last 30 days are marked Low sample. Self-reports skew toward drivers doing unusually well or badly, and many don't say whether they count dead time, gas or taxes.
Disclaimer
Gross pay before expenses unless marked net. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any delivery platform or data provider. Not financial, tax or legal advice. Pay changes often, so check your own app. We never use private or personal earnings data without the driver's consent.
